GPS - DVD required?

I've a 2006 Sport and Denzo the supplier of the DVD's don't seem to have an updated version - last update I thing was their 2012. Anyone out there know if I can obtain a disk from another reliable supplier? I can use Google Maps but seem a shame to ditch the build in one. Andrew Kennedy

Interesting, the disc in mine is 2014 and is generally okay in the Southwest of England but it does catch me out on occasions.

Let us know how you get on with them. Steve

Hi Devon Z. Denzo who supply the GPS systems for our Sports only offer a DVD up to 2012 so I have been looking else where to purchase a more up-to-date DVD. Satnavishop has been suggested.....but looking at their reviews, I don't think I will be going down that road Andrew Kennedy

Hi Richard. Interesting comments - who did you get your update from? I've got a 2006 Sport which I think has the same GPS system as yours. Andrew Kennedy

I don't think my 2006 has a card - just a DVD disk that slides in the computer under one of the front seats!?! Andrew Kennedy

Yep, you have a disc for yours. I have the same system and the 2018 update disc that is available at the link shared above. Works fine, although I did have to install it twice for it to work properly.

Hi Paulsinhis30s. Thanks for your comments re GPS updates. I have purchased 2018 DVD and all seem okay.....except the Voice Recognition no longer works! I guess you have the same situation?!? Andrew Andrew Kennedy

Hmmm, no my voice recognition still works fine.

Have you checked that your stored addresses are still present? I bought the disc and installed it the day I picked up my RRS, so had to programme stored addresses for voice recognition. If not maybe you have a faulty disc?

Thanks for your comments! No I haven't checked the stored addresses but I received an email from David at the Satnav company saying " the 2018 DVD does not support Voice Recognition". I wouldn't have thought the DVD had anything to do with the Voice Recognition? Andrew Kennedy
