Try the manual shift find a decent hill then accelerate through the gears, does it only happen under load and in certain gears, if you ease up of the accelerator does the noise go and does it happen in only certain gear ranges? |

Found a hill (all hills are decent where I live!) and gave it the beans through the gears. Nice smooth road too.

Sounds very similar to mine. Ended up costing £450 all in so not too bad. Could've saved a bit not doing the wheel bearing, but as it was all apart it was only the extra for the part.

I’ve got a slight thump on/off the throttle and it’s been diagnosed as a little slack in the chain of the transfer box. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue. |
