fairly common on the L494, but they should replace it - there's a kit from LR that they need to order --

Mine had just such a leak - they replaced the whole diff. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

+1 had my rear diff seal done a few weeks ago under warranty. No replacement / sounds like they applied the LR repair kit.

An update on this: the rear diff started whining after the car was standing for 3 weeks.

Just heard back from the dealership - it is indeed the rear diff, and they have to motivate to HQ to get a replacement one --

How did that end up? Did LR cover the cost? Ours was replaced 8000 miles ago and has just gone again and our LR dealer are quoting £1,000 to open it up and see what might have caused it, only refunded if they determine that it isn't something new. Not impressed. |
