Lost sat nav voice volume....

My L494 MY17 SVR has developed an annoying loss of sat nav voice instruction. Despite playing with every button including the big mute unmute button and constantly tabbing the volume up button it has had little effect...
Any ideas.....and I have read the effing manual and done everything it says....
Help.... Very Happy

Same thing happened to us in our MY17 which we recently bought. Went back to the dealers and they admitted that it needed a software update.

It’s very annoying the usual twiddle the volume when you are getting Satnav instructions doesn’t work.

The first sign of madness is hair on the palms of your hand.

The second sign of madness is looking for them. Confused

No it was done FOC but my car was an approved used vehicle and still within the warranty period at the time..so in your case I don’t know… it’s obviously a known fault though so I would argue that with them…

Re the Satnav update they probably will charge however it is easy enough to do yourself. I can”t remember how the 17MY is as I have now sold mine and replaced it with a 20 MY.. the owners manual will tell you..
On the later cars you need a 60Gb usb stick to download on a laptop then transfer it to the car..

Update SVR was serviced yesterday and the sat nav issue has been found

It requires a IMC update + speech database cars under extended warranty for hopefully they foot the bill of £99 MY14 Freelander 2 Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

Excellent good news!
As an aside the programming for the satnav still amazes me… just come back from a driving tour of Europe and the satnave was sublime.. perfect in every instruction and got us to every location with pinpoint accuracy..
Yet in the Uk the programming is absolutely shocking.. it tries to divert you via impossible turns, often turning back on itself down lay-bys or alternatively gets you to turn off the motorway via a slip road only to direct back onto the same motorway via the roundabout … nuts..

Anyway glad you got sorted..
