On our previous Range Rover the optical loop was faulty.

I had the same problem on my RRS. Absolute nightmare for what was a broken connector near the centre console. JLR insisted on replacing the whole wiring loom and tried to get me to pay for it because they said the wiring had been disturbed and broken by me or a previous owner. I got it done under warranty in the end after a lot of arguing. The car had to be pretty much stripped inside to replace the harness. The harness took months to arrive as it had to be specially ordered. |

Or find a friendly telco engineer, installing cable in a roadside box. He might terminate if for a few pennies. MY15.5 HSE

So you managed to get it done under warranty? That's a good result, financially, but having to strip the car and replace the entire loom? Yikes, that's a big job for a dealership. Fingers crossed that they put it back together properly for you. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
