Trev500,

I think that only you and your wife can decide which specification you would like. You have a choice of P300, P400 and V8 petrol engines. I have a year old P400 HSE which is pretty well equipped. The HSE comes with hi/lo ratios and the dynamic chassis setting. Don't fall for the HSE Dynamic model unless you want loads of black plastic and trim. The car is well equipped and in addition I wanted a glass roof, upgraded sound, heated steering wheel and extra leather. The 3l 400 bhp 6 cylinder motor is tremendous.

all the best

Hi,
I am with Tim, decide what you like and look for that, everyone has different priorities including colour choice

I like Ivory interiors, privacy glass, heated steering wheel and a towbar, oh and timed climate would be nice (but not on a petrol?)

would not pay extra for a pan roof or upgraded sound and would not have a black car (white is low on the list as well Laughing )

even though they both look Cool when just cleaned,

Question Confused Thumbs Up Porsche Cayenne 2022
gone Porsche Cayenne 2020
gone Corris Grey HSE Dynamic 2016
gone Ipanema HSE lux 2010
gone Rimini HSE 2005

I did a post abut my first year's ownership experience of a Sport- last paragraph records some of my opinions about what options I found worthwhile.

The P400e is not under powered, quite surprising for a 2L petrol but you do need to plug in and charge it to get the benefit, local trips on just electric.

P400e is very lively indeed. Recommended. Not sure what they’re like for £60k, that must be the starting price. For 5.0 2017, you won’t have much choice at £60k, but they’ll generally be a good spec.

I wouldn’t rule out any drivetrain until you have driven it, so try the 3.0 V6 supercharged and the 2.0 4 pot turbo P300 too, just in case. It will broaden your options.

RIP diesel! (For some of us) Thumbs Up

In terms of spec, I think extended leather makes the world of difference in a Sport, so I would add that to the list but you may need to make it optional as it may limit your choices too much. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso
RRS TDV6 HSE Lux (MY2011)... Nara Bronze / Arabica - now gone!

Definitely agree 100%...extended leather makes Thumbs Up quite a difference to the interior ambience of the car
