Temperature Sensor for RRSS 2006

Hello,

I have an issue with my RRS Super charged (2006) where it goes into limp mode, very occasionally. From the code it looks like the temperature sensor has failed and is giving an incorrect temperature to the ECU. The temp gauge does not move from the normal position, but I believe this is to be expected as this is driven from a different sensor.

No warning messages appear on the dash; just the normal "Reduced Engine Performance"

What sensor is it that I need, and does anyone know where it is located?

Fault code is: P0116

Thanks.

I think it’s near the supercharger pulley.

Front top of engine.

Gauge probably doesn’t more as it doesn’t have a better idea of the temp.

Col - Mate thank you for those diagrams! I will pull it apart and give it a check next weekend and get the part ordered.
