Rather like my parents remembering where they were when JFK was shot, I clearly remember where I was when I heard the twin towers were attacked.

I had just landed onboard the Beryl Alpha platform to start my 2 week hitch, with no TV access until evening I was hearing stories of what was going on until I turned on the TV and every channel showing the sad days events. It was pretty much all that was on the TV for the next 14 days. 13MY Range Rover Sport Autobiography SDV6 - mine

I was sat at home on the sofa. I had popped home at lunchtime and turned on the news to find the story unfolding following the first aircraft impact. Phoned the office to say I'd be a bit late and explained what was going on. Saw the second one live. Phoned the office to say I wasn't coming back in. Just spent the afternoon watching it all unfold.

Sat in the crew room at work watching it unfold, as everybody was silent and crammed in front of the TV. From there we knew we’d have a busy future...... 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue. |

At work in Wapping, London. Cancelled a meeting as everyone seemed shellshocked then spent the rest of the afternoon looking out over the Thames at Canary Wharf (which had been evacuated) half dreading a plane would crash into it. |
