Reversing camera lines

Hi All,

So a fair bit on here about reversing cameras and static or dynamic lines, however, nothing about turning them off.

I've got a 2006 NAS Sport with OEM reversing camera fitted in the roof spoiler. Can I turn the lines off within the CCFs?

The reason I want to do this is because the new stereo has dynamic lines which are way better and infinitely adjustable to get just right.

Thanks, have a good weekend.

Is the camera a factory fit? as I thought for some reason they only had the "bendy lines" if it had the surround camera system fitted and didn't think that system was an available option on pre-facelift vehicles. If it is a aftermarket camera setup I wouldn't think there is any facility in the CCF to turn any of it off. I do have the surround cameras for what use they are and sure I can turn something off via the dash screen menu but can't remember what, happy to have a look if it is of any use, don't ever recall seeing anything in the CCF files about turning any of it off though.

Just had a quick look, can turn the graphic's on and off using the system setup menu on the touch screen, not sure about earlier cars though.

Cheers
Col

Thanks Col,

Problem is the OEM stereo and screen are removed and an Android head unit installed. As the unit taps into the on-board system via CANbus and original loom it offers dynamic guide lines.

However I now have both the OEM static lines and the Android dynamic lines showing.

I therefore want to remove the OEM static lines. I'll have a look at the CCFs via my IID Tool.

Any ideas appreciated.

Thanks

Some cameras have a loop of wire on the back of it.

Either to flip the camera or
To turn lines off

Nothing to change on the back of the o.e. cameras on mine it's all in the touch screen menu, but then again the pre-facelift doesn't actualy have a factory fit reversing camera listed for it.

Cheers

I see we are going through the same problems here Smile
I have an aftermarket cam in the upper hatch handle with integrated guidelines.
I have several other cameras in the same size so if I can't turn them off I'll change out the camera module.
