Well any load on the engine causes a Problem. That’s the common Factor.

I’ve checked and even reset the timing about 3 times now using the correct locking pins. I’ve also fitted a brand new trigger wheel when the engine was out using the special tool. Would the alternator essentially over charge throwing a fault code? This is the first time I’ve ever experienced anything like this fault. When the aux belt is off it starts up completely fine. The not revving could possibly be a maf fault as the complete vehicle isn’t back together yet however I’ve tried it connected and disconnected and it’s still the same. The only thing that wasn’t connected was the air box. I’ve got a gearbox fault coming up too but the fault code is incorrect information from power train module. That may be due to the gearbox in neutral but the shifter is in park? |

I doubt it’s the alternator.
