South Africa 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Siberian Silver
Sticky Steering Wheel Buttons

Gents,

I left the car at the dealer for a fuel pump replacement, and when I got it back the Menu & Cruise Control buttons were all sticky - some mech probably touched them with fuel-soaked hands or something.

If I take it back to the dealer, I know they will tell me it's normal wear & tear, and it's been two weeks since I got the vehicle back (we haven't been driving due to lockdown).

I tried wiping them with a soft degreaser, and then with water, but they are still sticky.

Any other methods/cleaning agents you can recommend? I don't want to replace them, as I will selling the vehicle soonish.

Thanks --

Ok, so I tried some blue alcohol (methylated spirit) and that worked.

But I might have been a bit too enthusiastic, so ended up with a few sctratches.

But at least they are not sticky.

Anything I can do to 'polish' the buttons? --
