Had the full system vac down and regas today. All checked out ok - system held pressure but could only get the air temp to drop by 1 deg! I have an IID tool and no faults read. Any help or ideas much appreciated. RRS 2006

Hi best bet before being ripped off for regas is go to halfords buy the repair kit and refill bottle, most air cons after an age as long as there no big holes in the evaporator, the seals in the pump loose there oil and after a time the refrigerant breaks down.

Which values are you monitoring??,,,, is it suction or discharge pressure?. Either way it is only changing by 6 psi when the compressor cuts in which doesn't seem right, as Andy says if these are discharge pressures I would expect to see a much higher value. I would be tempted to double check you have a correct charge in the system,,,, also run the engine a bit quicker as it's barely ticking over looking at your screen shots, take it on the road and monitor your values this will make the compressor work a bit harder and also get some air flowing through the condenser. 2010 RRS, TDV8

Pressure is monitored where LR put the sensor. |

Had mine charged this morning, didn’t hold much hope of it working but it did we’ll see how long for but at least I know the system works. Drive home was like an ice box but it was only 16 degrees outside

Seems a bit pointlesslooking at live values if you don't know if it's high or low side,,, no substitute for a set of gauges where you can clearly see suction and discharge pressures. I've worked quite a bit on AC and fridge plant and know from experience that if you don't have a full charge in a system you are wasting your time trying to get the best out of it,,,,,, check for a correct charge and then move on to other areas. 2010 RRS, TDV8

Well mine reads the equivalent of 700 so it’s lacking pressure
