upper screen after head unit install & rear dvd player

well the screen sits there with a LR logo. I thought it wouldnt bother me but it does Razz

anyone any ideas what i can do with the sucker? i could try hook up my own amp so i can retain the screen properly but that seems like a lotta work.

also i have the rear dvd player, is there anything i can do to upgrade/remove it? since it won't be used

you either need to

1) unplug the display Laughing
2) Fit the rear part of the old head unit behind the dash. There are guides around to show you. And maybe even cable extensions available.
This keeps the display working. should make the rear screens work if fitted, (dunno about sound though)

1. that would be even worse Razz
2. So i cant make that work with the MOST decoder, because they fight for control of the AMP, and the old HU decides to steal the steering wheel controls events. It would be preferable so my clock would work tbh since i upgraded the IPC to the 2007+ version Razz But i cant see a way of making it work, unless theres a way to tell the old HU to calm its tits on the fibre optic network

you can fit adaptors so that the screen/sat nav/4x4 info all work but you will also need the adaptor for the sound. These can be bought over the net and fitted very easily, ive already done it when I upgraded my stereo to dab etc.

the parts I used I bought from just car kits, if you gone to their website you will find everything you need, all pretty much plug and play. I fitted a Pioneer double din unit with DAB and added a revers camera as well, all fairly easy to do.

part numbers below

navamp to retain audio from original nav. 10-651

bypass cable/steering wheel control interface 20-308

interface with screen retention. 29-712

patch lead 29-025 (to be used with steering wheel controls.

like i said look it up on the net all esay to find.
