It’s the same with all insurance, a company will like one persons risks and not another’s. It was Thatcham you phoned and referenced this site? Joined the X5 45e club

I had the same about a month or so back. They were nearly 3 times more expensive than what I could get on the price comparison sites. Kev

For me they matched the lowest on comparison sites but were a third of the excess. It also worked out that if I insured my defender as well I got better cover for £30 less. This was a specialist policy, so if you have @n enthusiasts car as well they can do really well Joined the X5 45e club

I don't know if Aviva just like me but I pay £350 pa for fully comprehensive. Admittedly with a £650 excess. Yes, its quite a high excess but I would expect to fix myself, or ignore, little nicks and scratches - the car's 12 years old after all. Robin

This year I took a policy with the AA. It cost £516.49 direct with AA. Dealt with the AA direct rather than via a comparison website such as Confused.com as I need a courtesy car if theft or total loss – something that with the AA is not available on line.

Enjoy the low price this year and be prepared for next years big jump. I made no claims and no one claimed from me but the renewal fee was just over double. |

£550 on SAGA with a £400 excess. I have a Tracker. Includes legal and courtesy etc. SAGA do Protected NCD on all their policies Free, which I value. Worth a try.
