Aside from the side steps having a mind of their own...but that's ok says the dealer, they are saying the wear on the side steps is acceptable.

Thanks Martyn - I managed to get them off with some persuasion from a rubber mallet. 🙂 |

Hi Martyn what paint did you use to refurb your side steps? How did you strip the old off? Have they lasted ok? Cheers, Pete. L494 3.0L SDV6 Autobiography in Chile Red (Current) L320 3.0L SDV6 Autobiography in Baltic Blue (RIP 29/03/2021 insurance total loss) |

Hi Pete Resurrecting and old thread here. I had drivers side repainted at body shop in anti slip truck bed type paint. I’m afraid 18 months later lots has worn off. I’m a little unsure how to proceed. My may did use some alloy etcher first as well to try to make the coating adhere. Has anybody found a long lasting way or refurbishing them? Powder coating perhaps 🤷♂️? 3.0 SDV6 HSE L494 |
