I have a problem with the oil filler cap on my 2006 Sport. I noticed this message on a forum from Disco Mike............That is not accurate information, the cap is separate from the tube and has just been too tightened to come loose.
Take the tube off with some channel locks and put it in a vise, then work on removing the cap. Next time don't tighten it so tight.. I am having the same problem with the tube the cap is locked onto i.e. when twisting the cap closed, the tube is moving! I presume this shouldn't happen? Is there a way I can secure the pipe? Any advice would be welcome!!!! Andrew Kennedy
