22" Wheel and Tyre damage

Hi All, I seem to have trouble keeping the 22" wheels on my 2016 AB away from sharp curbs. Obviously bad driving! I've burst one tyre whilst getting out of the way of an Ambulance and yesterday I clipped a curb and added another dent to the passenger side front wheel. Surprised it didn't take the tyre out again and they're not cheap!
Will this problem go away if I swap the wheels for some 20"? I'd prefer not to be worried everytime I go near a kurb as it's a big 4x4 and shold be able to cope.
Also any advise on where to get a sensibly priced new (not borrowed from someone elses car) set of wheels?

Thanks

I have two sets of delivery mileage 21" wheels fitted with Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season tyres with 8mm of tread, no TPMS.
These were fitted to an SVR

and these weren't

PM me for further details.

Not sure fitting 20" wheels and tyre will stop you or the car hitting the kerb, but you could always try Specsavers. Laughing

Why no TPMS wasn't that standard? Non JLR Vehicle

TPMS - Obviously not standard otherwise they would have them. 2010 3.6 TDV8 HSE (Gone)

TPMS was a legal requirement on the RRS2 so they should have them surely, unless they have been removed.

Blimey, didn't realise it was such a crime to try to sell something that might not fit everyones requirements.

I bought these in good faith and am only passing on what they are, I have had no issues from the many sets of similar wheels & tyres sold (not just LR products) from anywhere else.

If a moderator could remove my posts on this matter, I'd appreciate it,.

They probably haven't got TPMS because customer would have bought after market alloys & fitted the sensors in those then fitted ordinary rubber valves in the old wheels. Not a major issue changing valves over. Andy.

Getting a bit stupid now, OP was thinking about smaller wheels & someone offered to sell him a set. What's wrong with that Question

I’ve got a set of SVR 21’s been sat in my garage since 2016, zero miles done on them - how would I tell if they have TPMS, is it colour of the valve stem? Mine are grey
