United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Alaska White
Picked up my new car today...

Hi All,

Picked up a 2011 Autobiography today.

First job is the timing belts! Low mileage but reached the age.

Hopefully trouble free ownership my only initial gripe is wobble at 50-60 and some knocking from front when turning. ARB bush I think.

Sell it. It sounds like trouble.

Sounds like bushes gone & could probably need wheels balanced as a stick on weight could have dropped off,get it sorted & enjoy. Andy.

Yes indeed it's just had the wheels returned and I dont think they balanced them!

The bushes I'll get looked at.

Other than that it pulls well and drives lovely.

If you tap the brakes and it knocks, it's likely the front lower arm bushes. The rearward one is a hydrabush and is prone to wearing quickly on these vehicles.

If you swerve back and forth and it knocks, it'll be the ARB bushes. Again, another common thing to go. Kev

Both needed replacing when I bought mine.

If you need front lower arms, it's definately worth going for the ones from Advanced Factors fitted with Meyle HD bushes. They have a solid rubber bush instead of the hydra bush and come with a 4 year warranty.

Also, there is a 5% forum discount code, so be sure to use that.

Concerning your vibration, I had this at 70mph. These cars are very sensitive to wheel balancing. I had the wheels balanced by three different places all with varying levels of success. Finally, on the fourth attempt, I took the wheels to be road force balanced and that eventually resolved it. I dread to think how much I have spent on wheel balancing!

Yes, Poole is a lovely place to be. We are not from the area orignially but we've lived here for about 6 years now and cannot imagine moving away. Kev
