How to open the Bonnet

Hi Guys sorry all if this has been posted elsewhere i have searched but couldn't find the answer. i went to get in l320 today but the battery was 100% dead so not a problem i can use the emergency key in the passenger front door, i have put the key in but no joy still does not open the car, is there a way to open the car or the Bonnet from outside in order to get to the battery.

The emergency key is quite stiff.

Doesn’t move far. Wd40

Or apply power to towbar white socket

Many thanks Andy appreciate your help. Just out of interest i found a guy on you-tube showing that if you connect a battery charger to the starter motor that will provide power to open the doors.
