TDV8 oil leak

Hi All,

I have a strange problem that I'm trying to track down on my '10 L320 TDV8, I've tried searching around but no luck...

There is a slow oil leak coming from the two rear plenum chamber hoses, it seems to be seeping around the circumference of the hoses, pooling on intake manifold and also leaking down the side of the engine.

So far, I've:
- Checked for damage on inlet manifold/plenum chamber
- Tried tightening and loosening the hose clamps
- Replaced all plenum chamber hoses
- Replaced the inlet manifold gasket
- Replaced the oil seperator
- Cleaned the breather-intake pipe

Other than maybe failing turbo seals (no other symptoms - smoke, oil usage, performance etc.), I'm out of ideas!

Anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

Thanks

I wonder if the vehicle has had a turbo failure in the past. That generally dumps oil in to the intercooler and the entire inlet tract. There's always some oil then present as the intercooler acts as a reservoir for oil that can then coat the inside of the pipes. If you look inside the top intercooler hoses, they would be coated with oil if this is the case. Or have you changed those already? It might be worth having a look even if you have - then if they're coated in oil you'll know it's coming from upstream of the plenum. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
