United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black
No sound from audio.

Hi hope someone can point me in the right direction, I've tried searching google but I can't find anything that matches my exact problem.

I've had my RRS TDV8 2008 125,000 miles for a year and haven't had much luck with it.

Last January during a very cold spell I went out to the car and it wouldn't start. I ended up having to have the body control unit and ECU replaced but when I got the car back the stereo wouldn't produce any sound. The garage that did the work wouldn't accept any responsibility for this issue and said it isn't related to the ECU replacement. The CD player and radio appear to work as does the satnav just without any sound. The car does have Harmon Kardon signs on the doors.

Hope somebody can help, listening to the radio on my phone isn't the same. Thanks in advance.

This sounds like an AMP issue, check the fuse for the Amp but I suspect it will be on the same circuit and fuze as the screen etc. So probably ok. Can you do a check of the voltage at the Amp connector? Do you have an IID tool? 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Hi mate thanks for the reply. I don't have an IID tool.

I've checked these two fuses and they look ok.

There's also this one but I don't know how I would check it.

I didn’t think it would be fuses, that would be to easy.

Can you check for power to the amp using a fluke or similar? If you get power at the amp then it could be either the amp has given up (does happen when water gets to it) or more likely a config issue seeing as you’ve had the BCM replaced. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

The car is bone dry inside (no sunroof). I have a battery tester, could I use that? Which wire do I test?
