Battery drain

Have 2016 RRS Diesel recently bought privatly
Had a flat battery so bought a new Genuine LR battery
The New battery is going flat in 1 day of no use
Had a friend check the current draw after 1 hour it is still drawing 3 amps
Everything appears OFF
Anybody had a similar experiance
