Good morning all, though I am new to Sports, we have owned L322s for many years. I have a problem with my RRS 2.7 TDV6 that is somewhat baffling, the car is fully charged, it spins over well, fuel fumes are coming out of exhaust and it is firing and trying to start but it won't. I have checked for codes, the MAF sensor PO100 was coming back after reset, replaced and the code has gone but still won't start, same again, firing and diesel fumes out of exhaust. I have cleaned sensors, checked wiring but really don't know where to go next...HELP!!!

I would still check fuel is coming out the tyre valve at the rear top of the engine

Many thanks for your reply Andy, yes fuel is coming out, I've also tried the easy start in the inlet trick but that doesn't make any difference. I'm thinking Crankshaft position sensor at the moment??..

If you have an assistant remove the oil cap and see if the cam is turning over when cranked.

You really don’t want to mess with the crank sensor on these. More likely to make things worse

You could get an injector out and connect it up and see if it fires

What was the ambient temperature this morning?
