It rather depends what sort of use it normally gets. If you normally do short runs then the battery might be a bit low anyway. A smart charger left plugged in would keep it all nicely topped up. If you normally do decent runs, then the battery is probably nicely full so will sit for a couple of weeks just fine.

Disengaging and re-engaging the electronic handbrake is advisable every week or so.

I always put the park brake on because my driveway is sloping. If I just use P, it puts excess strain on the gearbox which can be felt by a noticable clunk when moving out of P. All of my automatic cars have done this, so when parking I usually engage N, apply the park brake, release footbrake so the park brake takes the weight of the vehicle, then engage P. Kev

+1 ALWAYS use the Parking Brake the way Kev explains. As he says it protects the gearbox and exercises the parking brake mechanism- and if you don’t use it you lose it! |

Definitely use it I had mine renewed after a few months of ownership purely because the previous owner had failed to use it. |

I'm leaving EPB off but every week, ignition on, EPB on then off a few times. Leave off. Ignition off Visitor from fullfatrr.com
