Have you checked your tyre pressures are correct. If one is low this can cause all sorts of problems in shifting. Kevin |

Mine does the exact same,,, I thought maybe it was just the way I was driving at the time. Sometimes I drive with very little variation on the throttle, especially at roundabouts or junctions,,, which is where I see this most. 2010 RRS, TDV8

I take it brake lights working correctly doesn’t necessarily mean the switch is working correctly?

If it thinks your braking, it thinks you are going down hill and would benefit from engine braking ie a low gear |

Ahh, she does tend to drop into 1st when slowing and cornering when I would normally expect to stay in 2nd or 3rd.

Is it actually in 1st or is in 2nd? It could be different for other models but my car starts in 2nd unless I select first manually. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

Thanks for the replies and information, been out this morning and she’s driven faultless. I’ll monitor the situation and look at doing the steel sump and separate filter conversion soon.

That's normal for these cars. It knows you're talking about it so it's playing ball now! 2016 RRS SVR Estoril Blue
