I paid £1200 odd for the year for the LR warranty.

Of course a warranty isn't worth anything if it's not going to pay out which there seems to be conflicting views on the LR warranty. The LR warranty is much easier of using an LR dealer as it's just done behind the scenes where WD required me to pay and claim back - I believe WD pay direct if using an approved repairer. WD/LRA always ask if they are paying me direct, or if the customer is paying and reclaiming

If it's a relatively small bill, I ask the customer to pay upfront

With some of the bigger bills, such as engine/gearbox etc, WD pay me directly. Not everyone has £4k+ to spare in the bank or CC etc

Yep, £800 for a 17k mile 2015 L494 for three years - the paperwork has just come through - all good (hopefully).

As it happens, I had a claim on Friday

WD told me while making the claim, that the customer would pay me directly, and he would have to claim the money back from WD...

All very interesting looking at the comments here, and with me considering extended warranty I did a search for quotes with other companies. In short "Click4 for Warranty" with similar cover for 3 years comes out at half the cost of Warranty Direct. Has anyone here had experience with this company. RRS2 HSE Chile Red

Have a read over on disco4.com, lots of discussion on warranties, WD are the ones that get the constant good reviews Over all the rest.

The only other one I'd recommend is Scotsure Warranty

Customer of mine bought his Sport from garage with a 3 month warranty, customer paid extra to extend it to 12 months

In the 12 months, he's had a new suspension compressor and a new EPB module

Had his renewal through at £550 for another 12 months. Surprisingly enough, he's renewing

Coming to the end of my 2 year used car dealer warranty. Just received the option to extend from LR



LR pricing was:
* £945 for extended warranty; £1095 with LR Assistance
* £745 for Select extended warranty; £895 with LR Assistance

Went for the extended with LR Assist - £109.50 per month over 10 months....
