I have been pondering popping one of those somewhere on the Cobra - someone else on the forum already did just that and they seem like a nice solution, especially as the port is IP65 rated. 2014 BMW 530d Touring, 2006 BMW 650i, 2018 Mini Cooper S |

Currently I've to run the charge lead under the bonnet to a Ctek connector poking out of the battery box, so something like these would be ideal. But I cannot think of where I could fit one while keeping it discreet, aswell as easy to access and keep it out of the direct weather/wheel throw area's. I'd be happy getting an additional tow cover to butcher with fitting something like this but I do tow on occasion so it could be a pest if wired through, and it's as easy popping the bonnet as removing the cover to charge via the tow socket.

This is where I fitted mine, you don't have to open bonnet, remove tow eye cover or unlock the car to connect/dis-connect it and just tucks under bonnet when not in use, never had any issue with being non waterproof and often have tropical storms here. Unfortunately it doesn't stop you driving off with it connected.

As its IP65 as defined below means it can be anywhere. My Ctek comfort connector is in the space below the number plate so the bonnet does not have to be opened. A small bracket can be fitted in this area to hold this connector.

Dennis, don't want to hijack Lindab's post but could post a picture of under the bonnet if you wanted as also fitted it via a Anderson plug so could connect a battery charger or tyre inflator compressor if needed.

Dennis, another idea is to mount the charger in the car itself. That's what I did recently and it works great. Have a look at my post here: https://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/post592283.html Kev

I put some on half of the scuttle and am monitoring. It’s lasted longer than any aerosol product so far Visitor from fullfatrr.com
