Very smart calipers sir, goodness knows how they stay that clean? Your discs do look impressive as well with the yellow zinc chromate passivate finish as well. Look forward to hearing how that hopefully stops all corrosion. My LR stock discs were painted industrial grey which was rusting around the flange. This looked hideous through the wheel. New brembo disks have a silver finish all over. Don’t think it will stave off the rust for the life of the disc but time will tell..

To be honest, anyone using cross drilled or grooved discs will produce more dust than a solid disc. It's like taking a file to your brake pads every time you use them.

This is the problem with long threads! Did you suggest the DTEC pads? Prob let Andy confirm but they may also be unavailable for brembo system fronts? I did come across Disc Italia pads in the US 🤔! but nobody is importing them to my knowledge. www.brakeworld.com Is the website - hyper ceramic pads. Happy hunting! 3.0 SDV6 HSE L494 |

Agree with Dave B, the grooves & especially the holes clog up with brake dust. You have to keep sticking a drill bit through them every so often to keep them clear. No advantage on braking on a road car. |

Cheers Dave. It was the Hawk you recommended that we went with 😂👍. Thanks. And as you suggest rears are less of an issue with dust - just as well really. Very pleased with the Hawk 👍 3.0 SDV6 HSE L494 |

My lad fitted drilled and grooved discs on his LEXUS is300. He ended up having his wheels painted Anthracite to help hide the amount of dust they produced, but they do look good!

Well I decided to put the discs & pads through their paces yesterday & went to Hull & back,60ish miles round trip, brakes work really well but when I got home I decided to wash the car as it was due & when I went to clean the inner barrels of the wheels they were covered in backed on brake dust (wheels are cleaned fortnightly) so had to apply Bilt Hamber Kerosol to remove most of it,I’m just hoping they will settle dow & this isn’t going to happen every time I use it or the original discs will be going back on,,I’m now beginning to believe what Dave B said earlier in the post Andy.
