well swapped the relay this morning and it made no difference, anyone else got any ideas? |

yeah I always wait until the light goes out, but this happens hot or cold so cant be the glow plugs.

check the battery connections.

How did you check the battery, voltage under load or off load? If not already done, have someone check the battery volts while you try to start it, it should hopefully stay above 9.6V - use a meter direct across the battery terminals. checked battery both under load and no load, all ok. I will check the connection on the wing under the battery today weather permitting.

removed the battery and checked the connection and all was ok, so I guess now the only thing left is the starter motor? |

UPdate****well finally got under the car and the starter is dead... replaced with new and all ok now. |

Some times its a bad connection on the starter motor just removing the contacts and cleaning can often cure it.. Bet you had fun changing that starter motor |

it was an absolute pain in the butt... but changed now and all ok, hopefully I dont have to do that again soon!
