Airbag dash light, was intermittent now permanent

Hi all, wondering if anyone can help / advise 2014 RRS

Airbag light would come on the dash now and again, remain for a few days and then disappear.

It’s now on permanently, I wondered if there could be more simple fixes before I send it to the
Main dealer. Any advice much appreciated.

Thanks,
Dan

If you search L494 air bag I’m sure something will come up,iirc it’s something to do with wiring under drivers seat. Andy.

This is a known issue - harness under driver seat needs to be replaced - I'm on my second one. MY16, 3.0D HSE Dynamic, Barola Black, TV, Rear Entertainment, Opening Pan Roof, Meridian

Once you've got it fixed, it's possibly worth turning off the 'auto seat move' function upon ignition off/on- I'm sure it's this that causes the accelerated wear and tear on the loom. Poor design and should have been fixed years ago. 2013 L494 5.0 SC in Chile Red

Yes turned that off after day 2 of owning the car. Frankly I find it more irritating than helpful and if the other half drives then the second memory position is getting used anyway.

I suspect it was either dealer error on the first replacement or actually the first time was the passenger side harness (the sales chap didn’t exactly inspire confidence the first time as to exactly which harness it was). MY14.5 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography Dynamic Corris Grey
