Good 'cheap' RR garages/independents in RCT or Cardiff

Hi,

Just bought a 2010 RRS and loving it. It had a service and belt changed day before I bought it as insisted on that and full MOT so all good at moment but wary that if and when things go wrong i need to get them fixed asap. So looking for someone in advance as such in the ECT, Cardiff, South Wales area if anyone could recommend please ?

Rather not pay £800 odd for Range Rover dealership for a service if I can. Ha ha
Saving up for tyre replacements now too 😉

Thanks all,

If you can get it done for £800 at a dealership I'd snatch their hands off. Rolling Eyes

£800 for a service? Shocked

I'd drive to you, and carry out the service at home or work, for that Rolling with laughter

Wow, I can see the comedians in the UK must be bricking it with you lot about *facepalm* 🙄
Now that the 'hilarious' jokes and back slapping has been done any recommendation would be appreciated

Thanks

I've heard Promec in Llantrisant are good. Not that I've ever used them myself. Kev

If you're remotely handy, there's not much to just doing oil amd filter changes yourself.
These things are not that bad to work on for routine servicing ( however often you choose to do your oils etc), and LR have kindly added a suction tube under the bonnet to avoid lying around too much.
A £28 vacuum pump can sort the oil changes for you. A service kit from one of the site sponsors is not expensive, and is far cheaper than paying someone to do it for you.
Brakes and other areas on the LR require knowledge, but if you are familiar with braking systems, its a walk in the park.
Don't skimp on the park/emergency brake maintenance tho'. These seem to crop up with owners time and time again where they've been advised that the car has been serviced..and the EPB has been missed.
The good independant will know this, and know how to adjust correctly. There are two adjustments on the shoes each side. One needs a screwdriver, the other an allen key. 2011 MY D4 HSE
