United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Santorini Black

I believe that it might take some RRS orders, however I'm not sure they would facelift this model again by the 3rd year.

Have they done this before with any previous model?

I'd have thought the new defender infotainment would be the new version in MY22/MY23?

Also a bit on Pivi Pro, looks good (as long as they don't mess it up!!!);

The new sport is not due until 2022 so won’t be surprised if they has another new infotainment system by then!

Look at the updates on the L494 RRS infotainment

Gen 1 - 2012-2016 (buttons at side of screen)
Gen 2 - wide screen 2017-2018 no buttons all touch
Gen 3 - 2018 In control touch duo dual screens

Whats surprising if they have another?

Yeah fair enough.

Is Pivi Pro even out in a Duo format with the bottom screen or will they just scrap that? Non JLR Vehicle

Not sure who knows...maybe adapt the lower screen to work with the pivi pro or ditch it for new the Jaguar style semi digitised aircon controls.

Seems like many manufacturers are going with larger and larger screens. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was 1 large screen instead of an upper and lower in the next revision. 2020 SVR / R.I.P. 2019 SVR / 2016 D4 Landmark / 2005 D3 HSE

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

The small square-ish DRL lights on that mk3 RRS prototype are reminiscent of the new Defender's lights. Interesting.

I wonder what the mk3 RRS will be - even more road-oriented or will it maintain its excellent off road capabilities? I hope the latter. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I’m very confused by the square DRL’s. As lighting technology evolves the size of headlamps continues to decrease. The Defender lights are purposely large when the technology doesn’t call for it - all to create a look. I don’t know why a future RR model would use purposely large headlamps (and square DRL’s) when the previous editions have revealed with smaller and smaller designs - except the Defender. 2020 SVR / R.I.P. 2019 SVR / 2016 D4 Landmark / 2005 D3 HSE

The article seems to start differently, but the text below is still in it, so it has been modified rather than deleted !

Today’s Range Rover Sport will be celebrating its seventh birthday in March, and this year it will receive a subtle makeover alongside the addition of a mild-hybrid straight-six Ingenium engine.

What specifically is the new tech on the defender that the MY19 RRS doesn’t have? MY19 5.0SC Dynamic AB - Boss Grey, Black Pano Roof, 22” Gloss Black Alloys, Ebony/Ivory Massage Seats, Carbon Fibre Finishers, HUD, DTV and the all important Cabin Ionisation...

Pivi Pro looks the same as ICTP. I have v19c which works fine. I wonder if there are any additional features or user improvements.

The areas I thought could use improvement is a button on the steering wheel to scroll though the different screen views with one touch (as Audi offers) and handbrake assist so you can apply the brake by squeezing the foot brake again as Audi/Merc offer. And of course, system speed could be improved with lower screen entertainment allowing controls of CarPlay functions.

Doesn’t look like the new Pivi Pro has a lower screen though. MY19 5.0SC Dynamic AB - Boss Grey, Black Pano Roof, 22” Gloss Black Alloys, Ebony/Ivory Massage Seats, Carbon Fibre Finishers, HUD, DTV and the all important Cabin Ionisation...

If you read this dc44back;

https://www.ovalnews.com/2020/01/now-this-...-info.html

Its a significant hardware upgrade!! Not sure about software.

This article is the one showing the new MY22 RRS;

Wonder what that means for MY21 though ?! Non JLR Vehicle
