TV Installation

Can a TV module be installed into the diesel HSE to utilise the existing central/satnav screen (without using addditional monitors)? Ive been told only the petrol versions allow this facility and that no interface lead exisits to accommodate the diesel version? True/False? Please help!!! Thanks[/b]

If the head unit is the same then it can be done....and if the lead is missing and independant audio specialist should be able to source one of make one for you Smile

Brian I would expect both the petrol and diesel to be the same but not sure what that is. Contact one of the sites sponsors Prestige Audio - their contact details are on the top right of a page (their add rotates between other sponsors so refresh your page until they appear) 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Thanks fellas. Ive emailed Prestige Audio and will post reply. Im told the software on the petrol vs diesel satnav IS different and wont permit satnav screen to be used a TV monitor? Seems strange to me, and I really cant understand why TV wasnt a factory option???

I'll find out if it's a firmware issue or software issue

Fellas, Im told the software/hardware issues are now resolved and digital TV can now be retro-fitted into all RRS's for £500-800. Happy Days? Probably not, as Ive also been told there's lots of problems with 4 out 5 going wrong. Wait a bit longer.., perhaps??? Crying or Very sad [/b]

Hopefully, yours is the 1 in 5 that WILL work ok? So, you had the TV module fitted: can I ask was it expensive, which make, good quality, picture-on-the-move??? Im still undecided, would appreciate your advice. Many Thanks!

Does anyone know if LR use the existing GPS antenna for reception with tv? Also curious to know if all sports have the wiring between where the antenna should be and the dash? Any info would be most appreciated!

Talk to Chris Knight at Prestige Audio (chris@prestigeaudio.co.uk). They'll tell you the "ins-and-outs." Ive also been onformed that TV will be a factory option on the 2007 RRS??? At last! Very Happy
