Fuel filter and pump are a complete unit and it is situated inside the fuel tank and you need to remove tank to replace it, as the filter is a integral part of the pump you cannot replace it separately or certainly never used to be able to, unless something is now available as aftermarket.

Sorry was thinking of the 5.0l S/C. It would appear there is a separate filter for the 4.2 WFL500010 but not sure where it is actualy located.

thank because i have constant fuel trim and lean issues, just had both heads rebuilt and didn't fancy forking out even more |

Out of curiosity found this, it looks like it maybe in tank but hopefully I'm wrong.

I think you are right tbh, fml. Thanks for the help I'll have to see how much hassle it is to drop the tank without a lift. |
