TOOK OFF HORIZONTAL STRIP, ABSOLUTELY FULL OF MUD, CAUSING WATER TO BUILD UP
AND ENTER TAILGATE VIA CLIP HOLES. CLEANED IT OUT, PROBLEM SOLVED.
CHEAPEST FIX EVER.

Thread resurrection,

Is there any chance anyone could post up an image of which strip this is and explain how to remove it. It would be very much appreciate.

Thank you.

England 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Fuji White

Just to resurrect an old thread: I was having this issue, so removed the strip and siliconed. It’s back, getting soaked when I open the boot 🤨 Anybody aware of any other possible ingress sites?

Tried two methods but still had problems.
So drilled 2 holes, one in each corner so it drains out all the time .

Did anyone find a solution to the water ingress into the tailgate? When I open the tailgate it pours out from behind the carpeted trim, I removed the trim but just can’t see where it’s entering the tailgate?
