It would be good if we had a way of knowing if the new system they mention is on our RRS and how to identify it. Sounds a big improvement as they had to pick the lock and couldn't start the Disco with the new system.

Lyonhead - do you have details of the immobiliser? Currently negotiating with the insurance to get a replacement to my stolen MY2019. Looking to have every conceivable security device this time around to prevent it happening again.
How did they manage to steal it, I thought MY19 had the new technology?
Not entirely clear to me, and I had thought the same thing, which is why I was obviously a little complacent about it (in hindsight). The cops said it had all the hallmarks of a straightforward relay theft though, so whatever security measures LR gave the MY2019 cars, it didn't stop them in my case. Now looking at all the security I can festoon my new one with (as / when the insurance cough up).

1880, so very sorry to hear about this. Did you have GAP insurance?
For others, I used ala.co.uk and MSE25 code for a 25% discount. £420 ish for 4 years of £50k max GAP return to invoice cover on a £120k list price, which I think is really good. If I am unfortunate enough to have mine taken despite the security at least I can get as close as possible to a new car, so it’s great peace of mind.
I did not try A-Plan... I have tried them for regular car insurance for the last 3 years and they have always been crazy expensive for me, so I have stopped wasting their time! (Probably a London-and-no-driveway-thing).
Alas, no - but I shall certainly be buying it in the future!
