Anyone Got Data Working

Hi guys,

On my 68 SVR, if I connect to the car to the house WFI, all apps, maps etc all work great.
If I have the car blue toothed to my phone, then none of the data services work.
In the top left corner of the screen it shows the phone signal etc and also "4G" and a signal strength which I believe is the data strength etc but still nothing works. Anyone have this issue or got it to work through their phone?
Tries a different phone service supplier but still the same.

If you want the internet to work through your phone, do it through WiFi (turn on the phone’s wireless hotspot), not Bluetooth.

Saying that, the “4G” suggests that the car’s own SIM is connecting to the internet and you should be able to use that without bothering to use your phone at all. RRS MY17 SDV6 AB

Hi,

Will try the wifi tomorrow. Guess might be worth fitting my own sim card as the one currently fitted has a high price for data etc.

Well after lots of playing, it's not possible to have the system work unless you use the SIM card which is a real pain!
Bluetooth tethering doesnt work, wifi you have to manually go in and reconnect everytime and only if the car is completely stationary, another system that is rubbish and useless.

My car connects to my home WiFi automatically when I pull up the drive - I don't have to connect it manually.

Unfortunately the iPhone makes you turn on its hotspot feature every time. If you had a different phone, you wouldn't have to do that. RRS MY17 SDV6 AB
