2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Orkney Grey

Not Locking

My 2012 RRS has a problem when locking , when I lock it it beeps twice, which I understand its not locked ???
If I take the key away and open the drivers door the Alarm goes off !!!!!????
Any ideas whats wrong ??...............TT

From what I recall those 2 bleeps suggest something isn't shut, tailgate, another door, bonnet. Bonnet catches are regular for showing up when alarm bleeps.

Thanks ive tried shutting everything again, sometimes works sometimes doesn't !! Im thinking its a sensor somewhere??

this was a precursor for our boot latch failing earlier in the year 2012 SDV6 HSE (technically its hers)

Ah better have a look into that . How can you tell if it's that? The boot seems to lock ok at the moment .

check the bonnet catch on the drivers side, (RHD) this is often the cause, it'll appear the bonnet is shut but the alarm system says not

Thanks stand easy, I have had trouble with that before, but ive slammed it shut and it still does it now and then.

It's stops opening. Randomly initially and then with monotonous regularity. 2012 SDV6 HSE (technically its hers)

2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Zermatt Silver

Had my alarm go off whilst parked in the drive for no apparent reason plus had the bonnet open message displayed 3 or 4 times, googled the problem and they recommend & show how to clean the switch if that fails looks a simple job to replace.
