It’s a well known issue - mine was fixed pretty quick under warranty but I’ve never known it be the main harness it’s usually a small addition to the harness - a few hrs at most 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Turns out its the airbag harness which 'wait for it' has to be made to order by LR. Just trying to see if warning light could be turned off meantime |

Exactly same on my soon to be RRS it’s a September 2014 (not sure if it’s a MY14 or MY15) with 45k miles diesel V8. Light came on final drive before purchase weekend before last when swapped drivers. Went off when turned engine off and on again but I wasn’t going to let them get away with not looking at it before handing over cold hard cash to avoid potential arguments when it inevitably happened again. Not that I’ve been lurking on the forums since I decided I wanted one

I’m glad this subject has appeared as I’m taking mine in for this exact reason this coming Monday. I hope mine and everyone else’s is rectified promptly. You’d have thought they’d strive to resolve this in light of the importance of said item. |

Mine comes on and off intermittently. Adjusting the drivers seat ( fully extended upwards and then back to memory position) has usually fixed the problem and the light goes off ... 2014 RRS AB Santorini Black |

Hi yes easy just put drivers seat up high then take a look from behind and there’s a few plugs under there I think it was the middle one it’s about 2 inches wide just unplugged mine and put it straight back in and it’s never come on again. Quite a common problem with them. Hope it works for yours |

What harness is needed? Do you know what airbag was bringing the light on? Usually it’s the front seat side airbag, which there is a overlay harness available for about £6 |

Happens occasionally for me. Here in the US it’s the passenger side which is the right seat. Original dealer “cleaned” the harness but it’s come back. It goes away when somebody sits in the seat for a period of time when the car is turned on (I usually drive alone).

Any update on this? Mine has been intermittent for a few weeks and now the airbag warning light is permanently on. Its got to be the drivers seat (Right hand drive) as that's the only seat used. Im interested in knowing more on the Overlay Harness mentioned above. Owned Range Rover's since 1972 through to MY2017 |
