Arch Liners???

Bit of an odd one this and not a massive deal just my OCD stepping in! Whilst out in the staff car park on the phone today I was looking at my car and noticed the front wheel arch liner protruding down, then I noticed the rear doing the same and when I checked around the car saw they were all like it to a degree.

Unlike previous cars they seem to be a rubbery material, normally they are plastic and held in with little plastic 1/4 fittings or similar, pic here -

Has anyone come across this, is there a way to ‘neaten’ then up or do I just have to accept that’s how it is??

Quite common, need to replace the edge protectors they only push on and only generally last a couple of years or so, loads of posts on the site about them.

Ok so reading one of those threads it mentions a bit of heat - if I hear mine up will they ‘snap’ back into shape?? Or do I need to purchase new ones??

The bit hanging down in your picture looks to be the wheel arch protecter rubber not the wheel arch liner it's self, heat won't achive anything you need new rubber protectors as the metal inside the protector had proably corroded away.

As Col said, the steel reinforcements within the rubber have corroded and are no longer maintaining their shape. They are scrap and the only fix is to remove or replace. Col pointed me in the direction of some Free Lander trims which are cheaper and long enough to replace the trims more than once. It looks like these LR trims all come off the same roll but the Range Rover tag increases the price. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

No real point buying one's listed for the Sport will cost £70.00 for a set of four and do vehicle once. £55.00 for a set of Freelander one's and will do whole vehicle twice, and it's exactly the same item. Some people have even sold on the second set to recoup some of original cost.
