United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Siberian Silver
2014 vs 2015 RRS

Hi,

I am potentially finally taking the plunge and getting a newer shape sport.

However I wanted to clarify if there was some sort of change / update on the 3.0 Diesel engine between 2014 and 2015 models?

As the BHP / MPG seems to be different when you compare a 2014 and 2015 model.

Also, if there was a change - is there any reason to suspect the 2015 models are more / less reliable.

Any info would be helpful.

Thanks,

Chris

Depending on how late the MY15 engine is, it may be a GEN2 SDV6 type. Slightly modified, but essentially the same core engine and crank. Also single turbo that is water cooled.

Increase in MPG and BHP is down to different EGR valve and improved injectors.

Sorry to Censored on your bonfire, but crank issues remain. Joe

Hi,
if you want a 2016 RRS I know of a good one Whistle

As Andy says 292bhp then 306bhp although the bhp figure does not seem much different the Torque figures are think it was from 600nm to 700nm Shocked

The HSE dynamic is well worth looking at over the hse

Thumbs Up Porsche Cayenne 2022
gone Porsche Cayenne 2020
gone Corris Grey HSE Dynamic 2016
gone Ipanema HSE lux 2010
gone Rimini HSE 2005
!!
