TDV8's also have timing chains which should last the life of the engine, so no belts to worry about! As stated history and condition is everything. Good luck with your search.. Current: 2010 RRS 3.6 TDV8 HSE

Obviously don't know your budget, but if you can live with the fuel cost go for the S/C every time, although am biased I guess. previously had a TDV8 cracking motor.

I bought my 2009 tdv6 3 years ago from a company that was going under, did not do any research about this vehicles, to cut a long story short 12,000 pounds or 24,000 dollars have spent on repairs over this time, and now needs i think another 2,500 pounds to have the HPFP replaced, was serviced by a back st garaged as there was no Land Rover dealers nearby, luckily i had 3 years mechanical warranty which i purchased just after i bought it so they boar the major cost of repairs, in my ownership it has been service by LandRover, these are a high maintenance vehicle and need lots of money to keep on the road if they go wrong, would i by another i am not sure even though its the best car a have driven over 35 years, if you are going to buy a RRS then take out a mechanical warranty for sure, good luck in you search. |

Yeah I don't imagine taking on one of these without a warranty as would spoil the experience fuel insurance road tax and servicing will be bad enough. Looks like I may need to spend more than I wanted but atleast I can plan 3 years of driving one. That's the plan anyway |
