United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Orkney Grey
Servicing Kent / Medway

Guys.

I love in Kent in the Medway towns. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions or knows of any good places to get the 7 year service done.

I know I can use rcv.co.uk and have got a price for them. I am fine with the price but they are just a little far out for me. Any other suggestions?

Cheers

AHL Engineering in Ulcombe.... incredibly well regarded and run by two brothers who know LR products inside out..

Not the cheapest but they certainly know their stuff....

Mine went into them recently and it’s rewarding that they are 100% honest and if they see something that requires doing whilst mid job they will replace it saving you tonnes in the future!

Top gents and totally trustworthy! Get my vote!

Thats good to know. good to have a positive experience.

I love my Range and plan to keep it for many years. I want to make sure I'm looking after her. If the main dealers were not so expensive I would have no issues taking her there but on the flip side I like a garage that really know there stuff and from what I can see and read these chaps do.

Sent them an email and will hopefully get booked in with them. ===========================================

Then they will be perfect for you...in the main they use genuine JLR parts unless requested but during their servicing regime will look and advise you of potential issues or fit them as part of the service...my G4 D3 recently needed cam timing belts, oil pump etc and whilst it was off they replaced things like the crankshaft oil seal as it was weeping as part of the job...
They are hugely popular so be aware of longer booking in times...
Highly recommended though! No bodging when it comes to them doing the jobs...

Brilliant.

Hopefully get booked in this year. The 7 year service is not due until June next year but I want it doing just so I know and can tick it off. ===========================================

England

I just had my 7 year service done at AHL(October)

£1,200 for the service,
and they do take 3 days to do it,
Drop off Monday morning, collect Wednesday afternoon..Example..
courtesy car available, van take a few weeks wait before you get in..
I called late August and got Mid October..

As the others say they will look at more than just the service items,
and advise on anything that they think should be done at the time to save
you money, or issues later..
this is the second time I have used them, the first was an oil change 6 months before this service..

I will be spending plenty with them,
as I like you love my RRS and want it kept in tip top condition for many years to come.. ===========================================

Very similar price to RCV.

I was hoping to get it booked in for December time but get a feeling it might be sometime Jan if they are a popular place.

Hopefully hear from them tomorrow. ===========================================

Booked in for middle of Jan.

I got a price back from RRLondon and there were more expensive and from what I can see only do half of what AHL do.

Hi Chaps.

I am not going to be able to use AHL now as i have a long drive i now need to do in December and would rather have the car serviced before then. I cant get in to AHL until Jan. However http://www.dakar.co.uk/ are closer to me and can see me in December.

Below is what is included in their 7 year service. Based on that is there anything extra i should ask them to do or replace?

I am thinking water and oil pump? is that needed or over kill. Thanks for any advice.

If the front of the engine is off it may be worth doing the front crank pulley seal.... mine was just starting to weep and thus AHL whacked on a new one whilst access was easy!

Thanks mate. Been hunting around on the forum. The Aux belts is something others are saying to do as well.

Water pump not needed from 2009 as issue resolved. Oil pump on high mileage. Mine is only 67k at the moment. So not worth doing?

Cheers

Just to update. Had the 7 year service done this weekend. Was not due until June next year anyway. Really happy to have her serviced and can now stop worrying about belts etc.

Car feels nice to drive as normal.

Dakar cars did a top job and really good price. highly recommended. will be going back for some maintenance jobs in the next few months.
