Hello Guys,

Looking to have an Alive tune to my 12 plate SDV6, but it seems like its a visit 'tup north or lose the car for several days while they send the ECU back to Alive.

Does anyone know if anyone can do the alive tuning locally without the need to ship the ECU back to Alive HQ and save me a big trek with an overnight stay only adding to the cost?

Why would you need to stay overnight? I drove up from sussex, got there for 9am had the car mapped and was out of there y midday !
Went for a look round Newark where I use to live and was still home in sussex before 9 pm.

When I was looking to get mine done I looked at having the Ecu sent to them but preferred the fact that it could all be checked in the car running to confirm everything was as it should be. 2017 SVR. SVO Scafell grey Ebony interior

I will call those places tomorrow. I was aware of the dealer list on Alice’s website, my question was one more about if anyone had knowledge of which dealers can do the tune without sending the me ecu away.

In terms of the reason for the other night stay, I am glad you were able to get the work done by lunch time and back home by 9pm, but I spoke to Alive and was told it would take all day for the work and based on your timings would have me returning home around 1am after leaving home the day before around 5am.

So yes, it would involve an overnight stay on this basis...but that was not what the question was about.

Most Alive agents will have send it off as they don’t have the bench kit to do it.
Rovertune will have to send it off as they don’t have the bench kit to do it.
But, Evans Garage in Dorset can do it without sending it off. They have the bench kit and then rest is done over internet with Gary Wood at Alive HQ
