United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Orkney Grey
In-control

Hi Guys.

So I have that extra fob that from what I can see will just put the fans on the front windows. Handy. Thought it might have made the inside warm.

However my mate who had a 203 Range seems to think that I should be able to use the iOS app to communicate with the car. I have tried adding my car on the in control site with the VIN but get told it’s not found. Is there something I need to change or upgrade or purchase or was this just not a feature on my Sport?

Thanks in advance.

Craig. ===========================================

Not sure when the first version of InControl started, but remote start via the app didn’t come in for cars before around 2016. The extra fob you have should heat the entire car though, using a separate little fuel burner. I think there is a timed option too. RRS MY17 SDV6 AB

Thanks mate.

It defo clears the windows but I would not say the car was toastie warm. Do I have to set anything temp wise in the car before I use the system? I’ve had a look and don’t see much. ===========================================

If you have a 2013 L320 you won’t have InControl, it was a later option in the JLR range. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)

I think the remote heat will warm the car to whatever your climate control knobs are set to.

I must say, I've started using it again during the last few weeks and I love it. Kev

It also won’t work (I believe) if the fuel level is less than a predetermined amount. 2019 5.0 SC SVA (Current)
