Without seeing pics it’s hard to guess,,your car hasn’t been ppf or what ever they call it where the front gets covered to protect it by the previous owner by any chance has it. Andy.

Possibly had some paintwork after a scrape, but not done too well. |

Looks a bit like the clear coat peeling off the base coat, could have had a previous repair as suggested.

If it was in Australia I would say the clear coat is starting to break down due to high UV - it starts at one spot and spreads across the panel over a couple of years.

I have the same on the front bumper of my BMW - but that's 10 years older than your RRS! I assume stone chips started it for me, so maybe a small scrape on the wing on yours started it - it would only have to be deep enough to puncture the clear coat and if it hadn't adhered brilliantly from the factory..

Very rare for factory clear to start peeling on something this new.

aaronjb, Have you tried Chipsaway. The one beside me is brilliant. He has a unit where you leave the car with him. Don't use the mobile one's where they come to you |

I haven't tried them actually - I tried a few independent mobile chip repair people instead; I'll give them a shot 2014 BMW 530d Touring, 2006 BMW 650i, 2018 Mini Cooper S |
