Popping/Crackling from Speakers

Hi All,

2015 RRS L494 HSE Dynamic SDV6.

I'd be very grateful for help or guidance with this as my local dealer is doing my head in.

On cold start (and only on initial cold start), I get popping and crackling from all speakers but only for up to 5 minutes, never longer.

All software updates have been done and an amplifier has been replaced - to no avail.

To my mind it has to be related to the cold start system or the alternator (pushing big charge into the battery after initial startup), but I'm not sure and more to the point neither is the dealer.

Has anyone else been through this please and if so what was the issue.

Thanks,

Chris

Sadly not.

I've lost count of the trips to the local dealership and the problem is worse than ever.

Eventually got to the bottom of this. It was caused by an aftermarket TV Tuner which was fitted to the vehicle before I bought it.

Lookers disconnected it and all is now fine. They said that it looked "pucker" and was well fitted but I just found that it rarely worked anyway so was no loss.
