I don't know why they would a Autob badge on the back instead of keeping as is!

Don't get me wrong it's an eye catching motor all the same
...!!

When is major servicing due on these? Timing gear, rear diff etc?

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

If you look on the Land Rover approved used website ( https://used.landrover.co.uk/ ) there are 2 red SDv8 4.4 Autobiographies for sale out at Pentland Land Rover in Stirling at your price mark. They also have some L405 Range Rovers (aka The Full Fat RR) on their forecourt. In that price area.
Servicing is every 12 months or 16000 miles whichever comes first however any car you look at at a Land Rover dealership you should check if it has any balance if the 5vyear service agreement remaining as then there is no charge for what can be wallet numbing service costs. You should be aware that the 3.0ltr SDV6 also has a history of a bearing carrier failing destroying the engine - if the car has no recorded recent LR service history then JLR will not contribute to the repair costs (about £18000 for a new engine fitted in the event of a failure.......)

The reason that they tarted the car up to look like an Autobiograpghy is to mislead people who don’t know about the various equipment levels of the range and can charge more for it......... despite the mechanical issues a few cars have suffered they remain hugely in demand. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

My sister in law purchased a my14 HSE from Mervhannam with the AB design pack.
All in all her car has been really good and reliable and the AB styling is done very well, Also the customer service from those guys is apparently very good.
However when it comes down to it the spec is not AB spec.

Good to know mate as the dealer does have a good rep and the motors look clean. A mmate has bought a few RRS off then without issues.

The main engine carrier issue is abit frightening!!!! Surely if FSH from LR along with low miles then the chances are slim.

Hi,
I would have a look at the "for sale" section on here you can get well maintained cars from people that have been open about their cars (read their previous posts)

I could be a bit biased Whistle Whistle as we are just starting to sell our 2016 HSE Dynamic (new car end of year)

But I really would suggest going for a HSE Dynamic over a HSE and ask about a service pack as Tim has mentioned it can cover 5 services, check what spare it has Question none, space saver or a full size, do you need a towbar, expensive to add later,
you can check the service history on-line,
check what tyres are fitted Question do they all match when we were looking (2years ago) even one of the L/R approved at 2 years old they had fitted a set of budget tyres Exclamation

Happy hunting Thumbs Up

Not sure if you have read yet but if you do look at L/R approved their warranty is operated by CarCare not L/R directly Shocked

. Porsche Cayenne 2022
gone Porsche Cayenne 2020
gone Corris Grey HSE Dynamic 2016
gone Ipanema HSE lux 2010
gone Rimini HSE 2005

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

My advice would be to avoid using LR dealers for servicing and thus ignore the service pack advice. LR dealers are, more or less, rubbish and a full LRMDSH won't add anything to the vehicle. LR dealers haveca bad reputation for a reason.

I'd find a decent local indie and use them. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
