I don’t think you have bulb fail warnings on these.

so i changed the bulb and it is working but the adaptive headlight warning light is still on the dash....whats next? |

thanks, i'll see what i can do codes wise...i have one of those bluetooth OBD2 devices i might try that on it.

yes both were the main xenon dipped beam bulb |

The xenon does both dipped and main - there's a shutter that moves to give the necessary light output. The halogen comes on as a main beam pattern filler to ensure even light spread when main beam is selected. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I've had problems with my AFS headlights ever since I bought my RRS. As it wasn't covered by my warranty and was an intermittent fault, I've put up with it. I don't do much driving at night and so it was not a major inconvenience. Biggest issue is if it playing up when the MOT is due as it could be a fail.
