Shouldn't really be connected, which other problems have you got/had?

had a load of lights displayed last week, but i put that down to battery issues. The car had not been used for weeks, even the most stubborn lights reset after a good run and haven't shown again since. have checked floor and carpets dry too. I will get there in the end! The old RR Classic and early discoveries had problems with vacuum pipes stopping cruises working, but all electronics now.. Current: 2010 RRS 3.6 TDV8 HSE

Anyone got any thoughts on this? Just been out and checked a few relevant fuses and went for a drive. Cruise control works fine until I operate the wipers and off it goes. Very strange! Current: 2010 RRS 3.6 TDV8 HSE

Been a while, but I’ve got round to looking into this over the last couple of days. Everything stripped and cleaned, new gel pad fitted between sensor box and windscreen. Poured water over windscreen and bobs yer uncle wipers work, lots of water speed increases and keeps wiping till clear. I then put a towel over the sensor and the headlights come on. Went for a drive and the cruise control still drops out when you use the wipers, just don’t get it!

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I always thought you shouldn’t use cruise control when it’s wet due to risk of aquaplaning. Could this be a safety feature? |

I use my cruise control all the time in all my cars, I’ve had loads of green oval cars over the years also and none of them have done this! If you go into a tank slapper as it were due to water, I don’t think having the cruise on will make that much difference. Does your cruise trip out when use use your wipers?
